Kamazoy is committed to a number of organisations and we regularly donate or contribute to the upkeep of them. We believe that they play either a key part to our organisation’s success, or global society’s wellbeing, or our local community.

The Electronic Frontier Foundation is the leading nonprofit organization defending civil liberties in the digital world. Founded in 1990, EFF champions user privacy, free expression, and innovation through impact litigation, policy analysis, grassroots activism, and technology development. We work to ensure that rights and freedoms are enhanced and protected as our use of technology grows.
Whether defending your rights from attack or seeking front-line justice to establish your rights, EFF battles for digital freedom in the courts.
EFF defends the Internet as a platform for free speech, and believes that when you go online, your rights should come with you.
EFF fights in the courts and Congress to extend your privacy rights into the digital world, and works with partners around the globe to support the development of privacy-protecting technologies.
Knowing “what the government is up to” is often the first step in ensuring that the government respects the civil liberties of its citizens. In addition to using freedom of information laws to shed light on government actions, EFF also wants to highlight technologies that help the transparency proces.
Why we support the EFF
Kamazoy is a regular donator and follower of The Electronic Frontier Foundation – we believe that the work that EFF does is integral to a modern, thriving and strong Internet, which will provide the platform for global social strength and development.
Even in the early days of the Internet’s development, EFF understands that protecting access to developing technology is central to advancing freedom for all. EFF conducts research, promotes encryption, defend file sharing tools, and encourage the use of a world of emerging technologies.
Without organisations such as the EFF, Kamazoy believes that the Internet would become the communications network of either a select few global players, governments, or any other commercial organisation with a wide global overreach. Such action would almost undoubtedly become detrimental to the Internet’s stability, and its citizens would undoubtedly suffer a disservice as a result.

Our canals and rivers are national treasures, rich in history and wildlife. Once the backbone of the UK’s industry, providing easy links for moving goods and services, much like the Internet is today, the canals have become a beautiful, relaxing way of travelling and visiting many parts of the United Kingdom. To prevent the decline of our canal network, The Canal & River Trust are working hard to protect them for future generations.
Kamazoy’s managing director, Daniel Dainty, regularly uses the canals for transport to and from the centre of Birmingham. As the Conservative government implemented measures to remove funding which would ensure the decline of the canal network, Daniel believes that it is important to support and contribute towards such an important and well-known part of our heritage.
“I can imagine a Birmingham without canals,” Daniel says, “and I don’t think I like the thought of it! The canals are such a huge, huge part of growth of the United Kingdom – Birmingham, especially – and should be preserved for future generations to enjoy. Above all, they serve as a fantastic network of transport routes to many areas in the United Kingdom, and what could be more enjoyable than travelling on calm waters? It’s vital that our canal network is maintained and I’m proud that we are supporting this movement.”

The Motorcycle Action Group (MAG) is a volunteer led riders’ rights organisation that has been building in strength and diversity since it began in 1973.
MAG campaigns to protect and promote motorcycling and the interests and rights of all riders, from learner to advanced. MAG celebrates biking and the freedoms and independence it provides, through support of parties and rallies, sport and competition, touring and travel.
Motorcycling is all about skill, independence and the thrill of the journey. It’s a lot like life – if you don’t have fun on the journey, you don’t enjoy the destination.
We support Motorcycle Action Group and its campaigns to keep motorcycling enjoyable, accessible and appealing, and to reduce bureaucracy and encourage uptake of this fantastic mode of transport. Motorcycling is good for the economy as it reduces cars and pollution and traffic congestion, and it encourages riders to be extremely attentive and conscientious members of the public.
